At Bella Brides we love what we do. 
On wedding days we get to see lots of beautiful dresses, shoes and accessories.  Such a girl day and we enjoy it too.
One of the weddings we did was Delia's.  Delia's choice of colours for the bridesmaids dresses was so different and colourful.  Her dress was not the usual white or ivory either, it was gold and it was one of the most beautiful wedding dresses we have ever seen and she had Jimmy Choo shoes too to complete the look.
Delia's wedding hair and makeup were done by us at the Sofitel.  For the ceremony Delia had her hair up in a lovely bun.  After the ceremony we met Delia back in her room to create a change of style and Delia then wore her hair down over to the side, curly style, with colourful flowers in her hair.

Queensland Bridal Wedding Expo

Recently we participated in the Queensland Brides wedding expo at the Brisbane Convention Centre.  We had our hair and makeup stand there for all the Brides of Brisbane to see.
We were pleased to supply hair and makeup services for Jordanna Reagan who had some beautiful dresses entered into the bridal gown awards.  For Jordanna's beautiful model, we did a beautiful bridal hairstyle and wedding airbrush makeup.
We met lots of lovely brides-to-be and thoroughly enjoyed hearing about all their wedding plans.

 

Choosing your Wedding hair style

Are you having trouble deciding on how you will have your wedding hair for your wedding day?

Whatever you decide to have you will need to think about your dress and how it will complement your hairstyle.  If you have a high neck dress it's best to have an upstyle.  If you want to cover some tattoos, then down is great.  With a strapless dress you can have your hair up or down.
It maybe nice to have your hair over to one side if you have one shoulder strap on your dress.

Of course, the best idea is to have a hair trial.  Before your trial you need to have some idea and have some photos of what you do and don't like and take them along with you.  If you are going to be wearing any accessories in your hair or a veil it's also a great idea to take them along to the hair trial too so you can see what they will look like when all together.

If your wedding has a vintage theme then a vintage hairstyle would be nice. 

 

Stamford Plaza Wedding Showcase

Bella Brides were excited to be invited to the prestigious Stamford Plaza Hotel's Wedding Expo on the 28th July. Naturally, we accepted the invitation without hesitation. We have been to The Stamford Plaza on many occasions to weave our Bella Brides magic as we are a mobile, come-to-you business and we always love to visit. We have found that most brides these days are choosing to have airbrush makeup with their hairstyling.

We were one of only a select few (2 we think) hair and makeup suppliers chosen to attend. We met a number of brides-to-be on the day, some of who were considering holding their wedding at The Stamford Plaza.

We were able to watch the fashion parade and we were amazed by the wedding dresses and how beautiful the models looked.

The ways to braids are many. The styles can be wild or organized, informal or ceremonial. Braids can adorn a shoulder like the latest in fashion. Be creative by including a braid to an existing hairstyle. Braids can also be worn to work in place of a bun or a ponytail.
Braids are a well-liked choice for wedding parties.  Many bridesmaids prefer braids to other styles.

The choice of Bridal hair for many Brides is half up and half down style waterfall.   The style is exquisite with curls just like Tahlia’s Bridal hair and makeup, which we did on her wedding day.
