Fairytale Bride

At Bella Brides we like to show you we are able to create different styles of hair and makeup.
Jordanna of Jordanna Regan Couture designed and produced this gorgeous purple gown.  Karla from Qualis Photography captured the fairytale setting Jordanna had envisaged..
Jordanna also wanted our beautiful model, Courtney, to have a different style of hair and makeup.

Such a great collaboration of award winning teams within the Brisbane bridal industry.  Jordanna uses luxury silks and imported French laces to produce your custom designed, dream wedding gown.  All the gowns are hand made in Brisbane by Jordanna herself.

The styling concept was created  by White Lace and Promises.  The photoshoot was done at My Bridal Centre which is an amazing, One-stop shop for brides to go to to find everything bridal in Brisbane.

Qualis generated a concept to capture a mystical enchanted feel to complement the beautiful gown.

Wedding hair and makeup

At Bella Brides we don't just do hair and makeup in Brisbane.  We will travel to anywhere.

We did hair and makeup for a wedding in Sydney on the weekend.

Tegan had her airbrush makeup and hair done by us last September and decided to fly us down for her wedding on the 28th March 2015.

Tegan and Morgan.  We have done Morgan's hair and makeup before.  It is great when we get to do hair and makeup for ladies a couple of times.

Hair and makeup for ABIA Bride to be competition

Jessica had already booked hair and makeup with Bella Brides before entering the ABIA competition.  When the time came for us to vote for our three favourite brides Jessica was one we would have loved to have her hair and makeup paid for.

Hair and Airbrush makeup for Brisbane fashion Parades

Bella Brides recently did hair and airbrush makeup for the fashion parade at The Laneway Bar and Urbane, Brisbane.

For "Your Local Wedding Guide" January bridal expo in Brisbane we did the hairstyling for the 14 beautiful models.

We really love the hair pieces used in the models hair.

ABIA wedding awards

ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Academy) have an annual awards evening. This year it was on Tuesday 22nd July at Rydges Hotel in South Bank, Brisbane. The awards are presented based on feedback from actual clients who are asked to vote for their suppliers. Any supplier who receives a score of 95% or over is a finalist.

Bella Brides were fortunate to be finalists in both the wedding hairstyling and wedding makeup categories.

We were runners-up for hairstyling, being beaten only by .05%

This event is a showcase for wedding service providers and we had a great night, meeting with lots of other people in the wedding industry in Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Here's hoping for a first place next year!

At Bella Brides we love what we do. 
On wedding days we get to see lots of beautiful dresses, shoes and accessories.  Such a girl day and we enjoy it too.
One of the weddings we did was Delia's.  Delia's choice of colours for the bridesmaids dresses was so different and colourful.  Her dress was not the usual white or ivory either, it was gold and it was one of the most beautiful wedding dresses we have ever seen and she had Jimmy Choo shoes too to complete the look.
Delia's wedding hair and makeup were done by us at the Sofitel.  For the ceremony Delia had her hair up in a lovely bun.  After the ceremony we met Delia back in her room to create a change of style and Delia then wore her hair down over to the side, curly style, with colourful flowers in her hair.

Queensland Bridal Wedding Expo

Recently we participated in the Queensland Brides wedding expo at the Brisbane Convention Centre.  We had our hair and makeup stand there for all the Brides of Brisbane to see.
We were pleased to supply hair and makeup services for Jordanna Reagan who had some beautiful dresses entered into the bridal gown awards.  For Jordanna's beautiful model, we did a beautiful bridal hairstyle and wedding airbrush makeup.
We met lots of lovely brides-to-be and thoroughly enjoyed hearing about all their wedding plans.

 

Choosing your Wedding hair style

Are you having trouble deciding on how you will have your wedding hair for your wedding day?

Whatever you decide to have you will need to think about your dress and how it will complement your hairstyle.  If you have a high neck dress it's best to have an upstyle.  If you want to cover some tattoos, then down is great.  With a strapless dress you can have your hair up or down.
It maybe nice to have your hair over to one side if you have one shoulder strap on your dress.

Of course, the best idea is to have a hair trial.  Before your trial you need to have some idea and have some photos of what you do and don't like and take them along with you.  If you are going to be wearing any accessories in your hair or a veil it's also a great idea to take them along to the hair trial too so you can see what they will look like when all together.

If your wedding has a vintage theme then a vintage hairstyle would be nice.
